bio

Todd D. Williams is the president and co-founder of The Leaders Lyceum, an organization dedicated to creating developmental opportunities that impact the whole person, leveraging experiences both in and out of work to accelerate the leader’s journey to real effectiveness. The focus of The Leaders Lyceum is on executive and next-generation leaders; emphasizing the development of who they are and who they are becoming as a developmental priority if they are to increase their capacity for effectiveness. In his role, Todd is focused on developing the client engagement and client experience aspects of the company. In addition to business development activities, Todd’s role is to continue to drive excellence and develop scalability of The Leaders Lyceum curriculum experience to meet client needs. The company targets individual, team and executive-level engagements for leadership development and change integration, as well as client family-succession experiences targeting generational wealth transfer. In addition, Todd has responsibility for the technology, business operations and client program management for The Leaders Lyceum.

Before joining The Leaders Lyceum, Todd spent six years as an executive with The Home Depot (THD) corporate headquarters in Atlanta and is a graduate of the company’s Accelerated Leadership Program at Emory University. As part of the Strategic Business Development group, Todd was tasked with the creation of a new business unit, The Home Depot Landscape Supply, an 11-store, two-market concept. In addition to driving the concept development, Todd then led the initial brand development and business formation, through the entire business launch; from store design, real estate site selection and construction to operations processes, staffing and eventual business integration into THD. As the business leader, over two years, he managed from startup to a nearly $70MM operating unit with more than 300 associates.

Todd subsequently joined the senior leadership team of a $1BB division of The Home Depot Supply in the lead operations role. He most recently led the business process improvement team and along with the corporate technology group, drove the design and development of an ERP system using SAP. Prior to joining The Home Depot, Todd was the VP of corporate development for Pike Nurseries, Inc., the largest independently owned retail nursery in the U.S.

Todd earned his B.A. from Michigan State University. He has been a long-time, active proponent of strong public education and has served on the board and as president of the Riverwood Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 in support of Riverwood International Charter School in Atlanta, which offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate diploma. Todd and his wife Celia enjoy traveling together and have three children.
